Praise be to Jesus Christ.
Tonight we celebrate the beautiful Virgin Mary Vigil. We thank and praise God for allowing us this evening. We pray that God will bless us by fulfilling our wishes and prayers. May God fill us with the joy and peace of Easter.
Virgin Mary Vigil is not a one evening event. We present all our intentions and deeds during the month of May to the Virgin Mary. During the month of May, many parishioners have prayed through rosary while depending on and loving her. Hence, we present the flowers and candles that are filled with our sincere prayers.
Virgin Mary is the mother of Jesus, mother of the church, mother for all of us. Virgin Mary continues to love us, comfort us, and protect us. It is not because we are pretty, special, but just because it is us.
Korean poet, Tae-Ju Na, wrote a poem called “flower” that explains the love she has for us:
